Waltzing Through Trauma is a unique and engaging breakout session that blends the gentle art of ballroom dance with insights from neuroscience to support trauma healing. Participants will explore how trauma affects the brain and body—disrupting the nervous system, impairing emotional regulation, and creating symptoms like hypervigilance, dissociation, and anxiety. The session includes an accessible introduction to the neuroscience of trauma, helping attendees understand why they feel the way they do and how healing is possible. Through guided waltz movements, participants will experience how dance can regulate the nervous system, restore rhythm and connection, and reduce common trauma symptoms by fostering a sense of safety, embodiment, and joy. No dance experience or partner is required—just an open mind and a willingness to move toward healing.
