As a child, Gabby wrestled the grasps of poverty, unimaginable abuse, neglect, and drug addiction to crack at age 12, which led her into the foster system. As an adult, Gabby has experienced the aftereffects of trauma when she was forced to be face-to-face with her abuser. Today, she serves her community by fostering hope, healing, connection, and growth to trauma survivors. Sheathed, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) initiative which provides free or reduced expressive art modalities and healthy living activities for those struggling. Gabby is a Certified Trauma Support Specialist (CTSS) and a Certified Peer Support Professional (CPSP). Gabby is honored to be a member of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars, as well as a small business owner.
