Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) & Protective & Compensatory Experiences (PACEs): Why this Matters in Ministry

4:10pm – 5:10pm on Friday 10/14
The findings from the Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) study rocked the trauma world. This study paved the way for developing trauma-informed schools, mental health centers, prisons, and churches. Equally important to understanding the effects of ACEs on child and adult development is comprehending nurturing experiences (Protective & Compensatory Experiences (PACEs) that can increase resilience and buffer children from mental and physical illness risks. Dr. Tammy Schultz will examine why understanding ACEs and PACEs are vital for ministry and clinical settings.
