Caring for children who have experienced trauma is difficult as well as rewarding. When those children are your own or your grandchildren you also are dealing with your own trauma of the situation. Often times, those that face these challenges daily as well as juggle a career, do not always take the time to "breathe" or put their needs on the list of importance. Every day we pull from the one resource that we have to do it all.....us. There is no relief.
